Video appointments are conducted through a private HIPAA-secure link that is sent to you prior to the appointment. You will just open the link at the scheduled appointment time to complete the session. Sessions are 50 minutes and available as scheduled.
No matter if you are on a break at the office, in the comfort of your own home, or traveling, telehealth therapy can provide you with the consistency and support that you need.
Video sessions will need a stable wifi connection and a camera/microphone; and can be done by laptop, tablet, or cell phone. Headphones and/or a private space are also recommended.
Research from the last several years has indicated that telehealth counseling is equally as effective as face-to-face counseling in treating depression and anxiety (see reference here). Many clients may also feel more comfortable with the flexibility and familiarity of their own environments, which can help promote the healing process.
